Black Rose

This morning, I found my first black rose. I am pretty sure that black roses are the ones that when it's brown and dry, if you water it with a golden watering can, it turns to a gold rose. I would like to keep it as a black rose but silly me sold my regular watering can. Looks like I need to buy a new one from Nook.

P.S. Am I crazy or are the leaves on the trees a shade darker than normal? Even the grass looks different. Is it a sign of Fall/Autumn and that tanning season is over?

It's back...

I found a pink cosmo. I think I for sure ran over or forgot to water the first one that bloomed. This time, I have put the pink cosmo in my garden of hybrids so it will be kept safe.

Black Cosmos

My wish has come true. I finally have a black cosmo. I just wish that I didn't lose the one pink cosmo I had. I may need to do some replanting. I also found another orange cosmo. I love finding new hybrids!!!!

Pink Cosmos

Finally, another cosmo. A week or two ago, an orange cosmo bloomed. I have most of the hybrids but am having trouble growing cosmos. Today, with great surprise, a pink cosmo has blossomed. I am on my way to having almost all the hybrids.

UPDATE 07/16/09: I think I either ran over the pink cosmos or pulled it out of the ground by accident. It's no where to be found.

Blue pansy

A few days ago, I noticed this purple pansy. I thought nothing of it because I already had one. But as each day went by, I began to realize that it was more blue than purple. That's right...I have a blue pansy!!!

This morning, I also saw that a purple tulip has grown. Now only if I could grow some hybrid cosmos. Brody will have to fix up all the gardens tonight.

Pink rose

YAY! I got my first pink rose this morning and another orange pansy. Today was a good day because I got two hybrids, I must be doing something right.

I created another roommate to live with Leesh and Ross in their house. She looks different from them, but she'll be a great addition. Her debut will be over this weekend - with pictures posted on this blog. She will be in charge of planting more fruit trees and managing all the gardens around 90210.

Watch where you plant your flowers

I found a pink tulip today hiding behind the museum. Let me tell you that it was so difficult to pick it up but I got it and I have planted it elsewhere. I have take mo.par's advice and planted some hybrids together and I have also rearranged some of my neighbours's flowers. It's pretty sad that I can't wait for each morning to see what new plants have grown.

Another Hybrid

Today I discovered that I had another new hybrid, an orange pansy but mo.par did give me one of these hybrids the last time she came over to visit. She is an expert at cross-breeding flowers. I think I might ask her to be a guest blogger and tell us her tips on how to grow a hybrid. Cross-breeding is all the rage in the Animal Crossing world.

Not a purple tulip but a BLACK tulip

After a visit from mo.par, it turns out that my first hybrid wasn't a purple tulip but a black tulip (cross-bred from either two red tulips or two yellow tulips). mo.par also suggested that I move all my hybrids close to my house so I can keep a watchful eye on them.

I found my third hybrid, a purple pansy.

My Second Hybrid

You'll probably get sick of hearing everytime I grow a hybrid flower but I am proud of my accomplishment so I will continue to blog about it. This morning, I discovered an orange cosmo. Hybrid flowers grow randomly and when they feel like it. I would suggest to plant many combinations in open spaces (make sure that the nine square spaces surrounding your two flowers are free) and make sure to water them every day. Also, don't run over them.

My First Hybrid

After the help of mo.par and JT, I have a purple tulip. They showed me where and how to plant the flowers so you have a chance that they will cross breed. There is no ryhme or reason in how to grow these hybrids. The only thing you can do to is to plant the same type of flower either beside or diagonal from one another and make sure you do this in an empty space. You don't want any trees or rocks in the way. Also, water your flowers every day and hope that one day a hybrid will grow. Good luck my friends. For more info: http://faqs.ign.com/articles/805/805694p1.html
